Inclusive Playgrounds

GameTime’s inclusive playgrounds focus on removing barriers, so that all people can play without limitation. A truly great inclusive play space provides access, promotes inclusive play between children of all abilities and develops the whole community, whole environment, and whole child not only physically, but mentally, socially and emotionally as well. When we can provide children and families with inclusive environments, children feel respected, nurtured, encouraged and active during play.

Examples of GameTime’s inclusive play spaces include playgrounds, climbing walls, accessible picnic tables, outdoor musical instruments, and more. By adapting play equipment to meet the needs of all children, it’s guaranteed that children of all ages and abilities will have fun.

All playgrounds should meet the needs of children and adults of all ages and abilities, and inclusive playgrounds are especially good at making sure that not only is everyone having fun, but is learning something as well. No one should ever have to sit on the sidelines of their local playground, so creating inclusive playgrounds that include expression swings, merry-go-rounds, and sensory play, ensures that there is something for everyone.
